I came here for the ramen. I'll definitely be back. The service was very attentive. I ordered their spicy ramen and it really delivered on taste and heat. I regularly eat hot sauces from Hot Ones with Ghost, Reaper, pepper X, etc. This bowl nearly wrecked me. But it was enjoyable if you like heat! I had beads of sweat on my head, I was sniffling and tearing up. My fitbit even said my heart rate zoomed to 138 bpm. Aside from the heat, the chicken in the ramen was extremely delicious and could have been a dish all on it's own. I'll be back to try their other offerings.
A gem of a restaurant hidden in plan site in small strip mall. Matsui Japanese Sushi and Ramin is a great dining experience. When you walk into the restaurant you can picture yourself walking into a small restaurant in Japan. Very well decorated, which adds to the experience. Their food is delicious and fresh and their portion size is great. No lack of meat in their dishes and the prices are great. Take the time to go dine here. You won't regret it. I promise it will become a regular stop for you.
The environment is so nice and the service is wonderful. For appetizers definitely get the Pork Buns. The Miso Ramen has pork in it with a creamy broth and it is very flavorful. Today I had the Volcano Ramen, one of their newer dishes, and man is it spicy. Please only get it if your spice tolerance is high. I eat spicy foods 80% of the time but this is really spicy. This is the type of spice that stings your lips. Also try their sushi too, just know their food here is very flavorful.
Incredible Everything here was amazing The service was swift and pleasant. Bulgogi buns were perfection. The buns were so soft and fluffy, and the flavor of the bulgogi was lovely. Sushi rolls were really good, especially the bulgogi roll, spicy salmon roll & spicy yellowtail roll. The spicy miso ramen broth had a great flavor, and the noodles were cooked just right. Would definitely recommend and am excited to return soon.
A nice bowl of ramen on a hot day really hit the spot. The Pork Miso Ramen was savory to the very end, with tender pork, rich broth, and perfectly cooked noodles. The flavors were well-balanced, making each bite a delight. The Salmon Nigiri I got was also quite good, with fresh salmon. I definitely plan on coming here regularly. I also ordered some Karaage Chicken to go, and even reheated, it was pretty darn good. The crispy coating and juicy interior were impressive, so I can only imagine how amazing it would have been fresh from the kitchen. The staff was great, providing friendly and attentive service. Despite being pretty full, the food came out quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, this restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommended!
The restaurant was excellent; I have no grievances. It was impeccably clean and well-maintained. My expectations for a top-notch ramen spot were met. I highly recommend trying it out, and I will certainly revisit this establishment.
I won't be shellfish and gatekeep this place. Matsu sushi has ebi-thing: fresh sushi/sashimi, good prices, and kind staff. I am not a huge sushi eater, but my family and I both really enjoyed a light dinner after the spa...thanks to yelp showing me what was around. Matsu sushi had great reviews and I can see why. We came around 7:00pm on a Sunday night, and it was pretty full but luckily we were sat right away mear the sushi bar. We ordered the sushi and sashimi combo, chicken teriyaki, and Sapporo. The sushi and sashimi seemed fresh and were tasty. The chicken teriyaki came on a hot plate with lots of veggies under it, and a serving of rice on the side (just fyi--doesn't come as a bento box). Waitresses were kind and didn't rush us. Gave us all appetizer salads, miso soup despite only ordering 2 entrees. Service was good. The restaurant was clean, yet a bit small. Not super trendy for the world of instagram and tik tok, just like a neighborhood sushi house. Would recommend and would return! Glad to have discovered Matsu.
